DMER Maharashtra PGMCET - Eligibility

Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai conducts an entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses. The examination is called PGM-CET and the procedure is called “Procedure for selection and admission to medical postgraduate courses at the State Government Medical Colleges / Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Medical Colleges / Tata Memorial Hospital and Bombay Hospital, Mumbai”.

Eligibility criteria for appearing into PGMCET and taking admission into Medical Postgraduate courses is given as under.

Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian National.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate, who has passed final M.B.B.S. examination from a recognised medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) after completing one year compulsory rotating internship are eligible to apply for PGM-CET for Postgraduate degree or Diploma courses.
