Shivaji University Contact

Shivaji University was named after the creator of the Maratha kingdom. The University was started on 18th November, 1962 inaugurated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the former President of India. Main aim behind the foundation of this University was to cater to the local requirements of south Maharashtra. The authority of the University is extended on four districts i.e. Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Solapur of nearly 2, 00,000 students learning in 275 affiliated colleges and recognized institutes. The University is recognized and funded by the University Grants Commission(UGC). It is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
