Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) is a Deemed University. It was granted the deemed university status by the University Grants Commission  (UGC) in the year 2005. It was accredited with an “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The constituents of the Deemed University are located in a 125 acre campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha about 70 kms from Nagpur, Maharashtra. The institute has a flexible and innovative approach towards the teaching-learning process with emphasis on practical aspects and 'beyond-the-syllabus' areas of knowledge.
