Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Science, presently a Deemed University was founded by Shri Dattaji Meghe who was a Member of Parliament. Shri Dattaji Meghe the organizer Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences is enthusiastically working for public and their welfare since last 30 years. He believed that quality education and health can bring true changes to the large human resource of the country. The Institute provides best quality of education to the students with the help of top faculties and modern infrastructure.

Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Science boosts of 27 institutions, right from pre-primary to postgraduate levels of diverse faculties like medical sciences, social science, commerce, science, physical education, pharmacy, engineering, and performing arts. The Society is like a joint family of about 30000 students and about 1500 highly educated and skilled staff.

All these institutions are provided with highly qualified and well trained staff, well equipped laboratories, huge libraries, playgrounds, Canteens and buses for transportation of students and staff. The performance of the students in examinations is always excellent. It is profound desire and passionate attempt of the Founder to develop an educational process involving modern technology and knowledge with protection of our cultural heritage.

Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences has 20 departments in accordance with the rules of Medical Council of India.
