Dr. D. Y. Pail institute of management and research is operating through Dr. D. Y. Pail Pratishthan, a renowned generous trust in Maharashtra. At Akurdi - Pimpri academic complex the Pratishthan has created exceptional services for education in diverse fields and at different levels: ayurveda, architecture, arts, computers, commerce, dentistry, engineering, law, management, homeopathy, hospitality, IT, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and physiotherapy. Nearly 15,000 students yearly register with the Pratishthan's institutes. Currently it is called as Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Deemed University.

Since inception, specialize programs i.e. engineering, architecture, medical, dental, nursing and pharmacy etc were open by government institutions for only a few numbers of students. Professional colleges were the requirement of the day and government has therefore allowed the private institutions to operate professional programs examples engineering, architecture, medical, dental, nursing and pharmacy etc. Lot of suitable and interested students therefore was not in a place to obtain the professional educational services.

Organizer President Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil took this opportunity to serve the people. After awhile RA education society was founded in 1983 of a decent goal of attractive professional education to the doors of the rural common masses. Due to this, deserving students of the village locality could start their professional education as a career. RA Education society is steadily increasing its prospects after getting experience of operating a number of professional centers at Kolhapur, New Mumbai, Pimpri, and Pune. Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratishthan was founded in the year 1990 with the objective of providing education in all streams to the eligible students and supporting them to understand their visions of a career in professional courses. The educational chapter at Pune has 69 institutions.

The Pratishthan has created excellent facilities of education at Pimpri and Akurdi educational complexes in various faculties such as architecture, engineering, medical, dental, ayurved, homeopathy, nursing, physiotherapy, law, management and pharmacy etc. These centers provide world class quality education to over 15000 National and International students. Other popular name of the organization is DYP.

B.ED College:

This course is recognized through National Council Teacher Education and University of Pune. Bachelor of Education College (B.Ed) has started from year 2006. This course has no objection certificate from Government of Maharashtra. College have intake of 100 students and it is co–education college. Medium of instruction is in Marathi and in English medium. All teaching method made through University of Pune i.e. Marathi, Hindi, English, maths, science, economics, geography and commerce.

Eighty percent admission quota made by Director of Education and rest 20% quata made through Management side. Admission Procedure of College has been doing by Director of Education.

MBA- Master of Business Administration.

D Y Patil Education society is going to start new MBA course in the year 2008 - 2009 with affiliation of AICTE and University of Pune. Those students who are interested about it give application after the news published in local news paper.
