Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth or DBSKKV Dapoli was founded in the year 1972 as Konkan Krishi Vidyapeethm in the Konan region of Maharashtra. In 2001, it was renamed as Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth. The University is located at Dapoli in Ratnagiri Distirict of Konkan region.  The University has jurisdiction of five district of Maharashtra viz. Brihan-Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra state.
