Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC)

This examination is held for the following posts: Deputy Collector Class I, Deputy Registrar (Co-operatives), Assistant Secretary, Deputy Superintendent of Police/Assistant Commissioner of Police, Maharashtra Finance & Accounts Service-Class I & II, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, District Inspector (Land Records), Superintendent of Prohibition and Excise, Asstt. Registrar (Cooperatives), District Transport Officer.

Eligibility :

Academic
: Degree in Science/Engineering. Transport Officer : Degree. Adequate knowledge of Marathi.

Age :

19-28 years. Relaxable upto 33 years for BC candidates.

Physical

Height : 165 cms.

Chest : 84 cms. (unexpanded) for Supt. Prohibition & Excise or DSP/ACP.


Plan of Examination

The examination consists of two stages
Preliminary Exam (2 objective-type papers)

  • General Studies

Any one of the following subjects:

  • Chemistry

  • Geography
  • Indian History
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Political Science

Written examination is followed by Viva-Voce and Personality Test for successful candidates.
